special looking moth outside my sec 4 class last year

and it was another week since my last post. time moves too quickly when school starts. damn.

and so school "really" started in week 2, with tutorials and workshops beginning as well. it is then I realised how similar TB31 and TB32's schedules are, since I can meet hannah jacqueline and hup song on a daily basis.

it is not the first time I said this. but they are probably my closest friends in poly and I am thankful for being able to find a core group of stable friends in this volatile environment.

and it seems my tutors are all not too bad, no slacker types this time round. though they are very international, with american (Taylor for BCOM), american born chinese (Jonanthan Li for MIEC), chinese national (Zeng Xing for ITB), ang mor pai singaporean (Alphonsus or something for OBSE) and true blue heartlander singaporean (Ong Poh Leng for BSTA).

unfortunately they are all guys. whatever happened to the female tutors?

and this week is going to be busy. I am just listing them here so I can keep track.

- MIEC make up tutorial tomorrow while I rush the e-Portfolio by night time.
- on wednesday it will be for some information research talk by the library.
-thursday will be used for the Leo Club booth at NP@45 thingamajig.
-I am working on friday. and I just worked today.
-on the weekends I have to hunt for some nice shirt for the first BCOM oral presentation evaluation next week while preparing the mock job interview thingy.

next week there is also this tea session for Towards Outstanding Performance (its short form is TOP. talk about corny acronyms) students. then the BCOM assessment (OMG) too. school life is picking up speed again.

on the work side of things, things are going alright, though my work performance wasnt as perfect as two weeks ago. which is bad. I wish to keep those who had at least that bit of hope in me happy and when they get disappointed I feel very bad. so I will strive hard for greater perfection!

and with JEC outlet closed our business must have increased hundredfold. we were never fully booked (or even half booked for that matter). at least in my 2 months there. but now we are fully booked for the whole afternoon and we had to get people to leave earlier to let more people in.

is this better? well at least no more fliers. I prefer being busy serving than distributing fliers. you sweat both ways, but at least you dont sweat so much for the latter.

and finally, who on earth is that ahem who tagged? let me know who you are. real men dont hide behind their computer monitors like cats. lol that reference sounded rude.

and now for heavier things.

I realised my secondary school friends have mostly forgotten about me lol. it is pretty evident looking at recent blog posts. maybe they took me as a mere acquaintance nia la I dont know. I wasnt really close to my sec school friends cos I am not the gamer type. so yeah I guess that's the reason they wont consider me friends per se la. no common interest.

sometimes I am not informed about outings. maybe they thought I will be busy pattor-ing. maybe they just plain dont feel like asking me. that is something I dont really wish to know either.

in case they still had any ounce of wanting to ask me for something but didnt for fear of interrupting me, dont worry. just ask and I would try and make time as far as I could. I am going for gail's concert. I may be assigned work on that day at first, but I had already informed them I wont work on that day. so yup.

okay la lesser sad thoughts. or I will resemble that dead-looking moth on the wall.

laopo's semi-annual anniversary present for me =)

with one more week to a month without any updates, I am back!

started the new semester without my notebook since it was idly lazing at the Fujitsu service centre at Funan due to a dead hard disk. it failed right on the last thursday of the holidays to plenty of swearing.

only got it back on like wednesday morning and rushed to prepare the laptop for use throughout the entire day and only finished only at like 1am. and I finally digitised my handwritten notes from last week today.

==

that aside, the first week was carefree without tutorials as per last semester's practice. that is why I can collect my notebook from funan last wednesday anyway.

the actual full week will begin tomorrow. I personally think MIEC and BSTA are going to be the more difficult modules this semester. BCOM will be difficult for the oral presentations. ITB should just be more hectic while OBSE feels like a BMGT-ish module with different content but same style.

I still liked 1.2's modules more.

will talk about my new tutors when I meet them and as soon as I bother to update. I just realised I havent even talked about last semester's tutors...

I am still working at KBOX Clementi. do let me know if you plan to sing. I promise at least better food if I cannot give you a better price lol.

with the closure of KBOX Jurong Entertainment Centre with effect from tomorrow, the staff there are dispersed to various outlets. some part-timers and full-timers will be crossing to Clementi and some of our original full-time staff will transfer out.

this means some people that I know will be leaving (bye Angie...) and there will be new part-timers will compete for slots with me.

but at least a particular someone went off. and that is good. lol.

and you see the cookie monster on top? it is the anniversary present from my laopo of sixth months. thanks for my first (decently) huggable bear bear lol.

her head is stuck in the clouds as usual. she removed the price tag from the bear itself but left the receipt inside the plastic bag. and so I now how much it costs anyway HAHA.

anyway, it is hard to give it a name. since there was already a xiao shi (which you see is domo-kun on the right of the photo below). I dowan to name the names suggested so far since they are really weird. but yes, we are trying our best to name the blue monster you see right there.

usually if I am not at home, this is how I lay them on my bed. I dont think anyone (except laopo la) is interested anyway.

amidst the randomness of this entire post itself, I am going to end here. hope you can catch me with an update soon. though I think you and I have to hope really hard.
