more than half of Term 3 has passed since my last post.
for most secondary 4 students, it means PRELIMS ARE COMING IN THREE WEEKS TIME OMFG!!!!!!!1111
except those in through-train programme of some sort of course.
I havent even started revision. (as in read from head to toe. there are plenty of tests to revise for. see OT below.) kinda scary. there is so much that I simply do not know where to begin.
what worse is that I had spent this term in so much fun that I feel so guilty!
other than the point I made back then about the lack thereof of activities that waste time and not really helpful to the Final Goal (C), there is the night study.
I seemed to be having more fun there than learning. no doubt I managed to use those time to prepare for whatever tests that will be happening the next day...

ok lets OT for a bit.
in case you do not know, we now have mock exams every monday AND thursday. every tuesday's chemistry remedial slot is used for a test on one or two topics. friday's maths remedial have a mastery test too. this meant I have four tests to prepare per week. god knows how I went through it but hey, I am so used to having tests that I am feeling numb. is this the desired effect?
I apologise for my lack of coherence in this post. for now lets continue.

it is supposed to work well. being the enthu batch that we are, this year's turnout was incredible compared to last year. the principal must be smiling like a chershire cat somewhere over this fact, thinking her policies are working...
BUT HECK NO!
because there are so much people around, distraction had changed from the form of an electronic device (TV, computers, misc gaming device, etc.) to humans themselves. they try to talk to you, trick you into playing handphone games and many other vices that must not be named.
a small group of people from a select class of our batch regularly engages in the activity to be found in an Integrated Resort two years on. another group prefers spending long hours staring into a rectangular screen found on a glossy black handheld manufactured by Sony. valuable afternoon time is wasted as I watched them play.
this is how I passed my afternoons when I stayed for night study.
before anyone realises, it is 5.30PM and it is time to head out to Pandan Gardens for dinner. yummy zhi char. this typically takes 45 minutes.
going back, it is nearly time for a bath. oh yes, this is one of the most interesting experiences of all time.
since the new school building incorporated changing rooms, there are now 8 showers available. and since mrs teo harp on the new and improved facilities all the time, we might as well make the most use of it right?
bathtime is rather chaotic. imagine 6 persons in their respective cubicles, hurling abuses to each other at the top of their voices to pass the soap/shampoo/facial wash over as soon as possible, through the cubicles. whatever time is left after that is used for talking crap.
all of this happens before night study. so you can see night study is not really without its flaws.
sec 4s of next year, consider carefully before you hop onto the bandwagon.

4/3 and 4/4 had already got their LEAPS results by now. the thing that is supposed to replace the CCA points system. most people got their A2s and A1s really easily. they had better acknowledge my leadership in the CCA section...
vilau said our class will get ours two weeks later. at least according to ying sheng. somewhat unbelieveable since some people had got theirs already.
if all my achievements listed are added, it should be quite an easy A2 or A1. of course, that is assuming someone did not choose to reject what I had written...

NOTE: Minor spoilers alert.
I am finally done with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. it took me a bit over a week to finish the entire book, which is considered inhumanely slow already.
I have to say it did not exactly wow me, but hey, it is a well-written conclusion to this long-running series.
J.K. Rowling are one of those rare authors who stick by their word and not get tempted by the thought of money. she stuck to her promise of releasing seven books and tied the strings up.
I have to say the amount of killings are kind of massive though, many of them unjustified and simply done for the sake of killing them. she even threw in an extra twist at the end for good measure.
what is this for? since she decided not to continue the series, she wanted to protect her baby, making sure no one else gets to touch it again? kind of overdoing it yeah?

this seems like a pretty massive update by now. god knows when I would update again, so try to read it slowly. like one line per day. oops, a bit too late isnt it?
...okay cold joke.
