MYE Fever of 2007

Monday, April 23, 2007

after nearly 7 months, the tremors of major examinations could be felt once again, shaking the soil under my feet ever so slightly, making me nauseated.

the feeling of nauseation is exceptionally strong this time due to the gargantuan proportions of syllabus we had covered so far. all of sec 3 and sec 4 work covered so far will be tested.

this bodes ill, since I am the crammer type and cramming in so much may cause bloatedness, or even regurgitation before the exams even start, which is a waste of a lot of effort.

wah very chim hor? practise for english what. ok I shall tone down a bit.

might as well make a small note regarding my exam timetable here.

SPA Skill 3 - 8am to 9am
Paper 2 - 9.30am to 11.15am

you should be able to see that this timetable is really loose for me. in fact, I have a short break after every 2 continuous papers except the last week where things end with 3 continuous papers, which should mean I have more time to revise.

but it may not be too true, considering there are lessons on monday and wednesday for the "humanities" week. combined humanities some more this time no more hints on which chapters to look at. geog too, only has rather brief hints. all these will make it much harder to study, must plan time properly.

other than the Examnometer© (new pattern. ExamNoMeter is damn ugly) , I shall try out another new gimmick. the Seismograph will measure how difficult I find the paper, 1 being dead simple and 10 being dead difficult, much like the richter scale.

this will aid recall in later years when I laugh at how stupid these names are and compare how well I fared as compared to my opinion of the paper.

of course, readers should take note that MYE and EOY series (and soon Prelim and O Levels) posts often are purely for personal record and you should skip it unless you want to know more about how I think about these papers.

with that, I can conclude this post since I have nothing about life to update at the moment. maybe tomorrow. hee.
