as most students do, when you run out of things to blog about, you blog about your results. this is what I am gonna blog this time round.

in case you dont know, you can check your results online with your parents' IC number via nTrix.

this term is really luck that gave me such results as you can see.
1) the A Maths class test is different from what the cohort takes, and have trial test some more, allowing me to miraculously pass both my maths for the first time in upper secondary.
2) the E Maths class test of ours is rubbish la. we are hinted here and there throughout the course of the test. in fact two person in my class got full marks, including the bio rep.
3) only the common test score for biology is taken. if they added the class test in, the result would have been 42%. guess it is because of the poor performance of the cohort in that test.
4) the tests are on segments I am good at. it is writing for both english and chinese, SBQ for CH (not easier to write than SEQ, but no memory work), and loci for E Maths. if other things are added into the mix, the scores may drop significantly.
after considering all these factors, I consider myself performing only average for this term, such as in A Maths and Chemistry, my arch nemesis and achillies heel. I am still stuck in D7 to E8 region for Chemistry, while I did poorly in A Maths when comparing within class.
==
despite all these, I still find it quite a sense of achievement. since I am ranked top 10 in four subjects. this also proves how unbalanced I am, since I did significantly worse in other subjects.
this makes my choice of future education very difficult. I would much prefer a JC, but their curriculum have heavy emphasis on maths and science, both of which I am poor in.
if I head for poly, I can always go those business courses or mass com with good cut off, but competition will be pretty intense for uni, since only top 10% in cohort got the chance to.
first 3 months I shall head to JJ Arts. but I would waste the books. maybe I should work out some kinda agreement with a senior to pass me his/her books...
the singapore education system really disadvantages those who are weaker in maths and science. oh well.
