the entry still continues =D
today is the geography common test 1 2005 for secondary 2s. some I know, some I dont know and so I expect middle of road results. hopefully it comes out to be something like 65 >
yesterday's is also the interview for the councillors joining the 6th student council (y2005 edition). I can say I sucked at it. the questions were extremely challenging as in it requires lots of thinking in ordered to be answered. something similar to the questions asked in Miss Universe. one of it is like describe yourself in three words. from the three words, they would continue asking questions from there and it is pretty taxing. I have to admit I really do suck at this and I may just fail this. not that I really look forward to being a councillor anyway...it is just about being pretty disgraceful, failing this thing just at the first round...
my life is getting busier...mondays are for mathematics self study which I will usually reach home at 5pm or so. tuesdays are for CCAs and by the time I open the door it will be around 5.30pm. wednesday is vacant but I use that day to do my art homework which will be on thursday. thursday is the day for english remedial, reaching home at about 4pm while friday can be said to be my only free day, for saturdays are used for the weekend homework and the tuition homework and not to forget the tuition on sundays. as you can see, it is pretty cramped now that even squeezing out some time to do a format on my computer is difficult. formatting requires lots of reinstallation and configuration and I cant afford to be formatting during schooldays in case my schoolwork needs it. reaching home also means doing homework at around evening time and in case of any common tests or class tests and such it means staying up even later to study for them.
this type of lifestyle is much much much different compared to my sec 1 times, where there are perfectly no remedials (or supplementry as Cybernauts Deputy Vice Chairman, vegetable worm king, says it sounds nicer) and homework are at a real minimal level. what we are studying are also much easier than now, when I am facing some problems with the science chemical formulas and algebra in maths, not to forget the ongoing IPW project that will end sometime at end of May. somehow I dont feel as carefree as before.
I heard that even the sec 1s this year are having remedials and more homework, which is somewhat like what we are having now with the exception of more difficult chapters compared to the somewhat-primary 6-standard subjects in sec 1 and the IPW. seems like the school is trying to step up on the standard of students, especially since our O Levels marks that have been dwindling by the year.
nothing else to rant then I guess. back to the books.......................
