this is for those seniors who left CSS and wanna know what major changes are made to the school with this new principal
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
okay after 3 days I think I know what are finally the new rules. most apply only during morning assembly (any more and can go jump building liao...)
THE MOST IRRITATING is the requirement to read books during morning assembly, no matter at hall or parade square, lower secs will be handed the same book across the level and upper secs some news article. during that time keep your eyes STUCK onto the book/article and die die dont look up as if in front of you got a ghost or get reprimmanded by either of the teachers near you.
add to that, there is a reading period at the hall every monday and wednesday. so much that it takes up the first period (till 8am) of both days. during that time also die die dont look up or get reprimmanded. because sec 2s are at gallery, lesser people to supervise and no fan, the reading time is very unpleasent =@
after finishing the assigned book (in 1 month)/article (that day), there would be a test based on it. a great job our new principal had did isnt it?
dismissal time are now earlier compared to the past. like for me they are (from mon to fri) 2pm, 1.30pm, 1.30pm, 1.30pm, 2pm (1pm after IPW), 12.30pm. this principal is trying to make school dismiss as early as possible and at the same time. (I do know 3/1 are released at 4pm on thursdays =P)
common tests are shifted to 12.30pm - 1.30pm on tuesdays. probably to prevent us from doing last minute studying.
next, each class sitting down at the hall/parade square would sit in one single row (with a space in centre of course) in register numbers. and it takes a long time to queue up in reg no ya know?
register taking is also taking an awfully long time now since it will be taken in the parade square/hall even if we are sitting in reg nos -.-"
getting back to class after morning assembly would take a long time too, as everyone moves way too slowly. and we must walk two by two -.-" primary school?
school socks idea is cancelled as the price quoted by the dealer is too expensive.
handphones are allowed in school for this year but off or in silent mode when within school compounds.
======================
however for the slow moving thing I think it is mainly because it is still just the beginning of year. the sec 1s not too sure what to do either. soon later movement will be faster.
sitting in register numbers I guess will sooner or later be bypassed as people get their own friends (like when you have new class commitee class behaves after a while it gets back to the mess) only people will probably sit by their genders (girls have higher reg nos than the guys)
mrs teo will sooner or later find the problem with the attendance taking in hall/parade square as it takes really too long and will change it back to the old one.
okay these are just what I predict, dont know will come true or not. reading thing looks impossible to abolish. so oh well.
another thing is the timetable. it didnt change yet! can you believe it! hopefully it doesnt. this looked pretty proper.
if I remember anything else would update tomorrow. school sucks as usual for today. is Mrs Tan Hwee Ping good as a maths teacher anyway? cant be bothered to ramble on about school again. it is suckier then last year. that is it.
